Parisian Men 1

There is something about Parisian sartorial elegance that has more than a grain of truth in it. If there’s a word that sums it up, it’s the understatement of it.

If you believe otherwise, Parisian style is generally more refined than your average New Yorker or Londoner – they would never consciously leave the house in a creased shirt. That is why, in Paris, cheap would never be in.

When you try to look at the ornate structures that surround the city it may seem that the people have been trying to mirror the stylish architecture of it all, in the way they dress and behave. The Parisian look has become more than a fashion statement but also a lifestyle, an image set off by small key tweaks that are subtle and understated.

Tailoring appeals hugely to the Parisian ensemble. Sharp and slim fitting jackets matched with tailored jeans or chinos tend to be the key for the style. Accessorizing yourself in a subtle and understated way is something that Parisians do well. Adding oversized chunky scarf in masculine colors or an elegant leather bag to your outfit can do well for a Parisian ensemble. Although, the subtle things can provide the final touches to your overall look, why not consider a crisp, slim fitting white shirt, solid black frame glasses or a vintage pair of brown brogues which can bring that touch of classic European style to your wardrobe.

21 and over  follows two childhood friends who drag their friend out to celebrate his 21st birthday the night before an all-important medical school interview. Directed by Jon Lucas & Scott Moore. Starring Miles Teller, Justin Chon, Skylar Astin and Sarah Wright.Music by Lyle Workman. Here are some of the beats featured in the film:

The Way We Move. This is the first song featured as they walk through campus naked. The juxtaposition of this upbeat song provides dark lyrical content with an interesting evocation. Listeners will find themselves moving and grooving thanks to the instrumentation, even with the somber lyrical content.

Swim Until You Can't See Land is played when Jeff chases down Nicole at the end of the movie. A love song filled with complex, layered arrangements that just sounds that much better sung in a Scottish accent.

Young Blood is heard when Jeff kisses Nicole and continues as they all go to party at SideWinder. The driving synth bass holds the song steady as Alisa Xayalith unleashes her frantic vocals, that leaves you teetering with a  whirl of angst and wonderment.

Erwin Olaf’s exhibition 'Berlin' shows the Vermeer Prize-winner stepping into a new territory with his work. Olaf is famous for shooting on elaborately made sets spawned from his rich cultural influences.

'Berlin' is shot at six different historical locations throughout the German capital. These photographs give the same decadence and cinematic drama that Olaf is famous for whilst haunting the viewer by hinting at the city’s painful past with his images of porcelain-faced, leather-clad, Aryan children.

An unnamed transgender triesto visit her “Auntie Holly” but instead falls down a rabbit hole, finding trans-feminine archetypes that are in turn nebulous.
Engaging a world of dream-like magical realism, She Gone Rogue, references Maya Deren’s Meshes of the Afternoon, utilizing a space where singular selves multiply and expand, offering windows into parallel dimensions, with time and space collapsing into a whirlpool of divergent possibilities. When Drucker finally finds the white rabbit, the process of identity construction completes a full circle, offering more questions than answers.

On September 2012, the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) bought clothing from the New York department store Century 21.
In their laboratory tests, HSUS revealed that 70% of the clothing they tested was made from raccoon dog, but had proclaimed to be faux fur, or the fur of other animals and it was found out that a child’s unlabeled sweatshirt was trimmed with rabbit fur
“Clothing is constantly mislabeled by fashion brands,” said Pierre Grzybowski, research and enforcement manager of the fur-free campaign for The HSUS. “Animal fur is widely misrepresented both in advertising and labelling throughout the retail industry, and raccoon dog is probably the most misrepresented species.”
The raccoon dog is a native breed of East Asia, raccoon-like in appearance but a member of the canid family, and one that animal rights organisations allege is brutally mistreated in China.
